Waking up in Tennessee
So this cute photographer girl from Ontario, Canada writes us and says, “Can I please fly you Iris and Light boys to Tennessee to shoot my wedding?” And then she shows us the photos of the $5 million dollar log cabin (err…log mansion) that we’d all be staying in…and we say, “OF COURSE!”
Seriously, everything about this destination wedding was a dream: the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, TN with two of the sweetest and most fun kids ever (ok, their whole family was the most fun ever). We had a blast and got to try a bunch of fun new camera moves, too.
Tech info is our standard stuff: a couple of 5D Mark IIs, a bag full of ‘L’ glass (the new 100mm f/2.8L Macro with the new Hybrid IS is our current fave) and a stash of DIY stabilization systems that Ryan “McGyver’d” in ways you wouldn’t believe. Think TREES. All-in-all, it was a great experience with wonderful people who gave us all the right elements to create a beautiful engagement+wedding film.
For those of you interested in what we do, remember, time is a big component. We had three days with this couple, so if you want us to create something similar for you, make sure you BRING IT…the style, the fun, and enough time to make it all happen!
Music: “Can’t Stop Falling” by Canadian artist Laurell…a friend of the couple.
